Meatballs baked in milk sauce with young potatoes is an easy-to-prepare, unusual dish made from familiar and affordable products. A win-win combination of minced meat and potatoes gives the dish satiety and great taste, and a simple sauce made of milk, flour and fresh herbs - juiciness and light creamy aftertaste. Try it!

Ingredients

Directions

  1. Prepare your ingredients.
  2. For cooking, use approximately the same small size young potato tubers.
  3. Add dried herbs to the minced meat, 2-3 pinches of salt and ground black pepper to taste. Mix everything well.
  4. Form the minced meat into small meatballs about the size of the potato tubers.
  5. Peel the potatoes. Chop the dill and garlic finely.
  6. Save 1 sprig of dill to garnish your finished meal.
  7. Combine milk with wheat flour in a separate container and mix thoroughly so that no lumps remain.
  8. Add chopped dill, garlic, some salt and ground black pepper. Mix everything well again.
  9. Place potato tubers and meatballs in a baking dish.
  10. I used a mold with a diameter of 28 cm.
  11. Pour in the prepared sauce. Cover the mold tightly with foil and place in an oven preheated to 200 ° C for 30-35 minutes.
  12. Grate the cheese on a fine grater. Remove the foil and sprinkle with the raw potatoes and meatballs.
  13. Place the mold in the oven for another 5-10 minutes to melt the cheese.
  14. Young potatoes baked with meatballs are ready.
  15. Garnish with a pinch of chopped dill and serve.
  16. Bon Appetit!
