Cleverly Darken the Complexion

Many women wish for a darker skin tone on their faces. Sun-kissed skin makes you think of youth, warm days, radiant joie de vivre, and health – an impression that everyone naturally wants to leave on the other person. In Europe, however, there is no direct sunlight, but constantly going to the tanning salon is hazardous to your health. However, it doesn’t have to be, because with the tips for the right make-up you can skilfully darken your complexion in just a few steps and still look natural.

Compact powder in your own skin tone

Foundations come in many different forms – creams, powders, and pearls are among the standards. They are designed to even out imperfections in skin tone and provide an even, matte complexion. Many women are tempted to choose a much darker tone and apply it thickly as a cream – but this looks unnatural. It is better to first apply the foundation as a compact powder with a brush and choose a product that most closely matches the natural skin tone. Due to the matt complexion, it will already appear a little darker on its own. In addition, the compact powder also covers a thin layer and therefore looks much more natural and authentic.

Bronze powder for a healthy shine

Some bronze powder can be applied after the primer. This can be chosen in any color, but should not be significantly darker than your own skin tone – this falsifies the result. It is mainly applied to the cheeks, which makes the complexion darker. In addition, the bronze powder gives the skin a radiant hue that radiates freshness and health from within.

Make eyes dark

Most women with a naturally dark complexion have a naturally dark eye area. Brown eyes, black eyelashes, and eyebrows further enhance the impression of dark skin. If you don’t have these naturally, you have to put on make-up to get rid of dark circles under your eyes. Often, however, mascara in the black color is sufficient, which colors the eyelashes darker and makes them appear longer. If the effect alone seems unnatural, the eyeliner can be traced with a soft eyeliner to give the eyes a dark contour. Dark eye shadow can also have a supporting effect.

Natural lip colors

The final touch is given by the lips. Soft, natural pink or brown makes them look natural and without make-up, and they also suit darker complexions better. The tone should be chosen to match your own lip color. In addition, you can outline the lips with a contour pencil that is a few shades darker. This gives the naturally dark complexion a little more perfection.
