Useful tips for more fun in the sandbox and in the sandbox. With our tricks to play better in the sand, your children will simply have more fun.

The sandbox is a super exciting place to play for small children. On the playground or in your own sandbox in the backyard or in the garden. The sandbox is always a great leisure idea for children in summer.

1) Easily find toys in the sand

Who does not know it; the kids have a great time on the playground or on the sand beach. Many children’s sand toys are shared and end up scattered all over the site. Clearly labeling your own things with a waterproof pen before using the toys makes it easier to sort them out later. In addition, there is no more hassle than other children’s toys were accidentally packed.

2) Ideal toy for the sand

Less plastic in the sandpit is always better. Natural things in the sand are usually more exciting for children. For example, everyday household items, mugs, spoons, cutlery, plates, or sticks. Boys especially like playing with cars in the sand and building racetracks for the cars.

3) Use a wooden sandbox

A wooden sandpit offers many advantages over a plastic sandpit. It is more robust, looks nicer, and protects the environment. In this way, you protect nature and can let your children play in the sand calmly and sustainably. Wood is a renewable raw material that cannot cause any damage.

4) Meeting point sandpit

Small children from one year play in the sandbox. You can make the playground the center of play with the sandpit. Sit with a chair next to it and enjoy the fresh air and sunshine together with the child. Invite other children or parents to play and meet up regularly at sandpits. Later the children become more and more independent and want more time to play alone. So you can enjoy a break and the children are regularly in nature with lots of fresh air without being forced.

5) Eating and drinking in the sandbox

Children always get hungry when playing in the sandbox. But always make sure that the small children clean their hands before eating. There are simply too many toxins and unknown pathogens in such a sandbox. And be sure not to eat sweets or sugary drinks in the sandpit, as the bees and wasps will attract them.

6) Hygiene in the sandbox

Many small animals like the sandbox and especially cats, spiders, and beetles love the play sand. If you have your own sandbox, you should definitely cover the sandbox with a tarpaulin over the winter. Before you start playing in the sand again, be sure to check the sand for small animals and remove them.

7) Warm-up sand

If the sand has become damp and cold overnight or after a long cold spell, you can cover the sandpit or a spot in the sand with a tarp or towel a few hours before playing. The sun’s rays warm up the sand.
