Even our sweet darlings’ teeth have to be kept healthy and clean so that they can “bite properly” in old age. Soft cat food will soil teeth over time; they turn brown, become brittle, and eventually wither.
With proper hygiene, a cat can keep healthy teeth for a lifetime. You can have them cleaned during a routine visit to the vet’s office, but you can also affordably clean them naturally by occasionally placing a chicken wing in the kitten’s food bowl as a treat. By biting off the meat and crushing the chicken bone, the teeth will clean themselves. But be careful: you should only give the cat a cooled chicken wing. it should never be too hot.
