Food Safety Regulations in the Country
The Central African Republic has a food safety regulatory body known as the National Agency for Hygiene and Food Safety (ANSSA). The agency is responsible for ensuring that all food sold in the country, including street food, meets the required safety standards. ANSSA is mandated to carry out inspections and enforce compliance with food safety regulations. The regulatory body also provides training and technical assistance to food handlers to improve food safety practices.
