What is a ceramic pan?

If it does get encrusted, you can soak the pan in hot water and a little washing-up liquid for a few minutes. Although the coating can discolour over time, this has no effect on the frying properties and is purely optical.

3) Clean pan with baking soda

The household remedy baking soda can also help to clean stubborn dirt. So put some baking soda in the pan. Then add hot water and leave it on for about 30 minutes. You can then remove the dirt with a soft cloth. Now all you have to do is rinse the pan with clear water and dry it.

4) Do not clean ceramic pans in the dishwasher

Some manufacturers state that you can clean their ceramic pans in the dishwasher. But in order to protect the coating, you should avoid it. Because particularly aggressive cleaning tabs damage the pan and have a negative effect on its longevity. In general, avoid degreasers, scouring pads and other aggressive cleaning agents when cleaning your ceramic pan. You should also never use steel wool for cleaning.
