Delicious mini-patties "Hearts" with sausage, cheese and tomatoes, fried in breadcrumbs - a great appetizer for February 14th.

Ingredients

Directions

  1. Before preparing heart pies with sausage, cheese and tomatoes, we prepare all the necessary products.
  2. During the cooking process, you will also need a large heart-shaped cookie cutter, but if you are making an appetizer for no particular reason, you can cut dough blanks with an ordinary glass - you will get round pies.
  3. Add salt, sugar and butter to a saucepan with milk.
  4. Bring everything to a boil and remove from heat.
  5. Immediately add flour to the hot mixture and mix first with a spoon (while the mixture is still hot), and then knead the custard dough with your hands.
  6. Choux pastry for pies should be soft, but not sticky to your hands. After that, cover the dough with a towel and leave for 15-20 minutes.
  7. Now let's get to the stuffing. We rub the cheese on a fine grater. Sausage (ham) cut into small cubes.
  8. Cut the tomato into small triangles. Juice with seeds is desirable to remove.
  9. Mix sausage with cheese.
  10. Divide the dough in half. We roll each part into a layer 2-3 mm thick.
  11. On one layer of dough with a mold, we outline the places where the filling will be located.
  12. Carefully spread the sausage and cheese filling into the intended hearts, trying not to protrude beyond the edges. On top of the filling, in the center, lay out 1-2 slices of tomato. Too many tomatoes do not need to be put, as they can start up the juice and the pies will fall apart.
  13. Top the filling with the remaining rolled dough and lightly press the dough with your fingers along the edges of the hearts so that they are easy to detect.
  14. Then cut out heart-shaped pies with a cookie cutter.
  15. Once again, go through the edges of the blanks with your fingers (or a fork) so that the edges of the dough stick together well.
  16. Whisk the eggs until smooth.
  17. Dip the heart blanks first in beaten eggs, and then roll in breadcrumbs.
  18. Fry pies with sausage, cheese and tomatoes on both sides in a pan with heated vegetable oil.
  19. It is not necessary to make too much fire so that the breading does not burn.
  20. Put the finished fried pies with sausage, cheese and tomatoes on a napkin to absorb excess oil. Serve mini-pies "Hearts" better hot.
  21. Bon appetit!
