A delicious and elegant meat dish that will take a special place on the festive table is a pork roll with cottage cheese and dried apricots, smeared with honey and a mixture of spices and baked in the oven. The sweetish note inherent in dried apricots is in perfect harmony with meat, and cottage cheese gives a more delicate and pleasant taste. It is very interesting to try this combination of flavors.

Ingredients

Directions

  1. Cut dried apricots into small pieces.
  2. Using a sharp knife, cut the meat from the side edge along the entire length by about 2 cm. Continue cutting the meat as if in a spiral, so that the result is a long layer (see photo).
  3. Separately, mix cinnamon, paprika, dried garlic, black pepper and salt. Then carefully rub half the spices on the inside of the meat.
  4. Now spread the cottage cheese evenly over the entire surface of the meat.
  5. Sprinkle the curd with chopped dried apricots.
  6. Gently roll the meat with the filling into a tight roll. Tie the roll tightly with thread.
  7. Also rub the meat with spices on the outside and grease with honey.
  8. Put the roll on a baking sheet covered with parchment and put in the oven, heated to 200 degrees.
  9. Immediately reduce the temperature to 160 degrees. Bake pork roll with dried apricots and cottage cheese for 1 hour 15 minutes. In the process, periodically pour the meat with juice, which will be at the bottom of the mold.
  10. Remove the finished baked meat from the oven, wrap with foil and let stand for 10-15 minutes in the kitchen at room temperature.
  11. Remove threads.
  12. The finished pork roll with cottage cheese and dried apricots turned out to be tasty, beautiful and bright.
  13. You can cut the cooled roll into thin slices.
  14. Try and treat your family.
  15. Bon appetit!
