Banana chips with salt and pepper? Why not! Fans of culinary adventures will certainly agree to try an interesting combination of oven-dried banana slices, the sweetish taste of which is set off in an original way by salt and red pepper!

Ingredients

Directions

  1. Prepare the necessary products.
  2. This is an unsweetened potato chip recipe, so it's best to choose bananas that aren't too ripe. If desired, sweet chips can also be prepared by replacing half of the vegetable oil with honey, salt with sugar, and pepper with cinnamon, vanilla sugar or a pinch of citric acid. Then bananas, on the contrary, you can choose more ripe ones.
  3. Such banana chips are cooked quite quickly, so it is best to turn on the oven in advance to warm up to 90 degrees.
  4. Peel bananas. Cut the pulp into circles about 2 mm thick and send to a deep bowl.
  5. Add vegetable oil, salt and red ground pepper. Stir gently to evenly distribute the oil, along with the salt and pepper, over the surface of the banana slices. It's best to do it by hand.
  6. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Arrange the banana slices in a single layer on a baking sheet.
  7. Send to the oven, preheated to 90 degrees, for about 60-90 minutes. Every 30 minutes, the baking sheet must be taken out of the oven, carefully turned over the chips and sent back to the oven.
  8. Thinner slices will dry faster, they can be immediately transferred to a clean plate - and so on, until all the slices become light and crispy.
  9. Banana chips are ready! They should be served immediately after preparation.
  10. At first they are dry and crispy, but over time they can absorb moisture, soften and become like the famous dried bananas.
  11. Bon appetit!
