A simple hot appetizer prepared as a gift with a bow is Camembert cheese baked in puff pastry. Surprise your guests with a delicious combination of soft cheese, cranberry sauce and crispy puff pastry.

Ingredients

Directions

  1. We cut the dough layer into two parts so that one part can completely wrap the head of cheese. The second part may be smaller.
  2. Spread cranberry jam on a larger layer of dough in the center.
  3. Put a head of Camembert cheese on the jam.
  4. We wrap the ends of the dough well to make a ball. Make sure the dough seals the cheese tightly.
  5. Using a curly (or regular) knife, cut the second layer of dough into small strips.
  6. Separate the yolk from the protein. We only need the yolk to lubricate the parts. Protein can be used for another dish.
  7. We shift the ball of dough with cheese onto a baking sheet covered with parchment paper. Lubricate the dough strips with yolk and attach them crosswise on the surface of the ball, fastening the edges at the bottom.
  8. From the remaining strips of dough we form a bow. Lubricate the top with yolk using a brush. We send a baking sheet with cheese in puff pastry to an oven preheated to 200 degrees for 20 minutes. Ready Camembert, baked in puff pastry, we take out of the oven and immediately serve to the table.
  9. Carefully cut the Camembert baked in puff pastry in half, break off a piece of crispy ruddy dough, scoop up a little soft flowing cheese mixed with sour cranberry sauce, and enjoy a surprisingly tasty snack!
