Chips can be healthy if you cook them yourself from natural products. An appetizing appetizer of celery is tasty, crispy and with a characteristic aroma. These chips are slightly more tender than homemade potato chips.

Ingredients

Directions

  1. We wash the celery, clean it, cut off all stains and damage. Then dry the celery with a paper towel.
  2. Cut the celery into four pieces.
  3. We cut off the corners of the quarters of the root crop. Then we cut each part of the celery into very thin slices (1-2 mm thick). I used a cabbage shredder for this.
  4. Put the celery in a bowl, sprinkle with ground black pepper and dried Italian herbs.
  5. Mix celery with spices.
  6. In a heavy-bottomed saucepan or cauldron, heat the vegetable oil well.
  7. Dip the celery slices into the oil in small batches.
  8. Stirring, fry the chips until reduced in volume and golden hue.
  9. We must first transfer the finished chips to a paper towel or napkin so that excess oil is absorbed. You can even get the chips wet.
  10. (If a lot of oil remains on the chips, they will quickly lose their crunchy properties.)
  11. Then transfer the chips to a bowl and sprinkle with salt. We mix.
  12. Celery chips are ready.
  13. From the indicated amount of products, 120 g of celery chips are obtained.
  14. If the chips lose their crispy properties over time, you can dry them in the oven or in a dry frying pan.
  15. Bon appetit!
