Cottage cheese croquettes with herbs and sesame - small koloboks made of curd dough, sprinkled with sesame seeds and fried in a large amount of oil. They are prepared very quickly and from the simplest products. Thanks to sesame breading, croquettes are obtained with a crispy crust and a soft center.

Ingredients

Directions

  1. Prepare all ingredients.
  2. Cottage cheese is suitable for any fat content. I used cottage cheese with a fat content of 18%.
  3. Greens take any to your taste. I have dill and parsley.
  4. Use unscented vegetable oil.
  5. Sift the flour into a separate deep bowl. Pour in the baking powder. Mix dry ingredients together.
  6. My curd is lumpy. I mashed it with a spoon to remove any lumps. You can rub the cottage cheese through a sieve to make the texture more uniform.
  7. Add egg and salt to taste. Stir.
  8. Wash and dry the greens. Finely chop. Add greens to cottage cheese, mix.
  9. Sprinkle flour with baking powder. Stir with a spoon first.
  10. Then knead with your hands to make a soft dough, almost not sticky to your hands. If the dough is too sticky, stir in a little flour until the desired consistency.
  11. Form the dough into small balls about the size of a walnut. I got 24 balls.
  12. Roll each ball in sesame seeds. Roll the curd balls between your palms so that the sesame seeds adhere well to the dough.
  13. Pour the vegetable oil into a thick bowl. I have this saucepan. Send over moderate heat and heat very well. Check the readiness of the oil by dropping a bamboo skewer or wooden spatula into it - at this point the oil will begin to sizzle and bubble. Dip a small amount of balls into hot oil, as the balls will expand slightly during frying. Cook the cheese croquettes over low heat, stirring with a spatula, until golden brown on all sides, about 3 to 4 minutes.
  14. Lay the croquettes on paper towels to remove any remaining oil.
  15. Cottage cheese croquettes with herbs and sesame seeds are ready.
  16. Cottage cheese croquettes can be served with the first and second courses instead of bread. Can be served with sour cream, ketchup or other suitable sauce. It is very convenient to take with you to work, on the road, on a picnic as a hearty snack. Bon appetit!
