Crispy onion rings are popular in cuisines around the world. They are usually deep fried in breadcrumbs or flour, but in this recipe, onion rings are alternately dipped in a savory flour mixture, yogurt-based batter, and crumbled chips, and then baked in the oven. Such onion rings are spicy and not as greasy as deep-fried ones. Prepare a slide of such snacks for your favorite movie.

Ingredients

Directions

  1. We prepare the necessary products.
  2. Chips are better to choose a neutral taste - with salt, with cheese, with sour cream - as all the sharpness will be in flour breading.
  3. We heat the oven to 200 degrees.
  4. In a large bowl, combine 35 g flour, salt, black and red peppers.
  5. We mix everything well.
  6. Pour yogurt into another bowl, pour 50 g of flour and break the eggs.
  7. Mix everything until smooth, gradually adding the remaining flour. You may need a little less flour, depending on the thickness of the yogurt.
  8. The batter should be of medium thickness.
  9. We crush the chips well to medium crumbs using a bag and a rolling pin or simply with gloved hands.
  10. Peel the onion and cut into rings about 1 cm thick.
  11. We cover the baking sheet with parchment, leaving paper for the sides, grease with vegetable oil.
  12. Place the baking sheet in the hot oven for about 8 minutes or until the oil starts to sizzle.
  13. Dip the onion rings in the flour mixture.
  14. Dip each onion ring into the batter and let the excess batter drain.
  15. Then roll the rings in the chips crumbs on both sides.
  16. Lay the rings out on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
  17. Bake onion rings at 200 degrees for about 15 minutes, until golden and cooked.
  18. Onion rings are ready in the oven.
  19. We try the rings for salt. If there is not enough salt, then while the rings are still hot, add salt.
  20. Serve the rings with a sauce of sour cream, herbs and garlic. With any tomato or mustard sauce, they are also good.
  21. Bon appetit!
