Fried fish in beer batter with french fries

  1. Prepare all the necessary ingredients.
  2. Wash and dry the fish fillet (I have pollock).
  3. Peel the potatoes, wash and cut into equal sticks about 1 cm thick.
  4. Soak potatoes in cold water for 20 minutes.
  5. Then take out the potatoes and pat dry with paper towels.
  6. Pour vegetable oil into a narrow saucepan and heat to a temperature of 180 degrees.
  7. Dip a small amount of potatoes in it and fry until golden brown, about 5 minutes.
  8. Remove potatoes from oil and place on paper towel to drain excess oil, season with salt.
  9. Fry all the potatoes in this way.
  10. Let the oil heat up on the fire.
  11. Place flour, cornstarch and salt in a bowl. Stir until smooth.
  12. Pour the beer into the bowl and stir.
  13. Squeeze the juice from half a lemon (10 ml) and add to the flour mixture, mix.
  14. Add the egg and mix the batter until smooth.
  15. Squeeze the juice from the second half of the lemon (10 ml) and pour over the fish.
  16. Sprinkle the fish with dried dill.
  17. Dip each piece of fish into the batter and coat the fish on all sides.
  18. One at a time, dip the battered fish pieces into the deep-fryer and fry until golden brown. This will take approximately 3-4 minutes.
  19. Remove fish from deep fryer and place on paper towel to remove excess oil.
  20. Crispy fried fish with deep-fried potatoes is ready.
  21. Serve deep fried potatoes and fish with your favorite sauce.
