In this recipe, I want to show you how to make a simple and at the same time very tasty and satisfying salad of slightly salted herring with potatoes and eggs. I hope you enjoy this recipe of my herring potato salad.

  1. Cook potatoes, carrots and chicken eggs in salted water. We cool these products and after cleaning cut them into small cubes.
  2. We clean the herring from the skin and bones (if you don't feel like messing with the herring, for simplicity, you can immediately buy a ready-made fillet of slightly salted herring). I cut the herring into medium-sized cubes.
  3. Peel the red salad onions. Onions can be cut into quarters into rings, but I will cut them into thin strips.
  4. And finally, chop the greens (I add only fresh dill to this salad), you can use any greens to your taste.
  5. We send all the prepared ingredients into a bowl and, seasoning with mayonnaise, mix well.
