Hot rolls with Chinese cabbage and bacon

Rolling up Japanese-style rolls, but the Slavic reimagining isn't hard at all. Let's prepare unusual delicious rolls, where rice and Beijing cabbage will become the filling, and nori and bacon will be the shell. Roll the roll in starch and fry in a pan with soy sauce and ginger.

  1. We wash the rice, changing the water several times. Pour rice in a saucepan with 120 ml of water and put on fire. After boiling, reduce the fire to a minimum, cover the pan with a lid and cook the rice for 10 minutes. Turn off the heat and leave the rice covered for another 10 minutes.
  2. Then add salt, sugar and vinegar to the rice. Mix and let stand for 15 minutes.
  3. Meanwhile, coarsely chop the Chinese cabbage.
  4. Pour boiling water over the cabbage and leave for 2 minutes.
  5. Then we drain the water, and squeeze the cabbage lightly.
  6. Wrap a bamboo mat in cling film and lay a sheet of nori on it with the rough side up. Spread the rice on the nori and spread it with wet hands.
  7. Spread cabbage over rice.
  8. We roll up the roll.
  9. Lay the strips of bacon overlapping the width of the roll on a bamboo mat.
  10. Put the roll on the edge of the bacon layer. Wrap the roll in bacon.
  11. Roll the roll on all sides in starch.
  12. We heat the pan with vegetable oil and fry the roll on all sides until browned, about 3-4 minutes on each side.
  13. We clean the ginger and rub it on a fine grater.
  14. Then pour soy sauce into the pan and add ginger. Fry the roll for 1 minute more on each side.
  15. Let the roll cool slightly and cut into 6 pieces.
  16. Hot rolls with Chinese cabbage and bacon are ready. Serve them with soy sauce, wasabi, ginger, or whatever you like.
  17. Enjoy your meal!
