This pita bread roll with fried salmon, vegetables and feta cheese is formed like a shawarma, but it turns out much healthier. Tender pieces of fish are in perfect harmony with juicy vegetables and fragrant sour cream sauce with dill. Such a hearty roll may well replace a full meal.

  2. I used 2 sheets of pita bread measuring 30x45 cm.
  3. Sour cream is suitable for any fat content.
  4. Bryndza can be replaced with feta cheese.
  5. If the salmon fillet is frozen, remove it from the freezer in advance and thaw it completely in the refrigerator section. Clean the fish of all bones and skin.
  6. Rinse the fish pieces well and dip with a napkin from excess moisture. Salt a little and pepper if desired.
  7. Heat up a frying pan with vegetable oil and put the pieces of salmon in it.
  8. Fry the fish over moderate heat for 3-4 minutes on each side.
  9. Place the fried fish on a paper towel to absorb excess oil.
  10. Rinse the dill and pat dry. Remove thick stems. Finely chop the dill leaves and add to the sour cream. Salt and pepper to taste. Stir until smooth.
  11. Spread a sheet of pita bread on the countertop and grease with half of the sour cream sauce, leaving the edges free.
  12. Rinse the Beijing cabbage, dry it and cut into thin strips. Lay out half of the cabbage along the edge of the pita from the wide side.
  13. Rinse the cucumber and cut into thin slices. Spread half of the sliced ​​cucumber over the cabbage.
  14. Cut the prepared tomato into halves. Spread half of the tomato over the cucumbers. Lightly salt and pepper.
  15. Divide half of the fried fish into pieces and put on a layer of tomatoes.
  16. Cut the cheese into thin slices. Put half of the cheese on the fish.
  17. Wrap the sides of the pita bread over the filling.
  18. Roll up the roll.
  19. Do the same steps with the second sheet of pita bread.
  20. Lavash roll with fried salmon, vegetables and cheese is ready. If desired, you can heat the roll in the microwave for 2-3 minutes or fry in a grill pan. Or you can simply cut the roll into portioned pieces and serve as a cold appetizer.
