Leek is first boiled in milk and then combined with fried bacon and drizzled with creamy sauce, sprinkled with cheese and baked under the grill.

Ingredients

Directions

  1. Turn on the oven with the grill function to preheat to a high temperature. Cut each onion stalk in half lengthwise and then cut into large pieces. Pour the milk into a large saucepan and put the onion in it, salt and pepper to taste, bring to a boil over medium heat.
  2. Reduce heat and simmer onions for about 15-20 minutes, until soft. Remove the onion from the pan and put it in a heat-resistant form, and leave the milk in the pan.
  3. Fry the chopped bacon in a frying pan until crispy for a few minutes. Lay the fried bacon pieces over the onions.
  4. Add mustard, cream and egg to a saucepan with milk, beat with a whisk or fork. Place the saucepan over low heat and stir until the sauce thickens slightly, but do not bring to a boil. Add salt and pepper to taste. Drizzle this sauce over the onion and bacon.
  5. Sprinkle the contents of the form with shredded cheese and place under the grill, cook until the cheese is melted.
  6. Serve leek baked with bacon hot.
