We make a marinade. Per liter of water: 4 tablespoons of salt, 2 tablespoons of sugar, 6 pcs. cloves, allspice and black pepper, mustard and coriander seeds, bay leaf. Boil everything and chill.
Wash the fish, remove the insides. Cut the mackerel into slices of about 4 cm. I don’t throw out caviar and milk, I also salt it.
Put the fish in a jar, mixed with raw red onions (2 medium onions cut into half rings, or boats), fresh dill and basil. Best with crushed dill seeds, but I don't have any.
Pour all this beauty with brine and put in the refrigerator for 2 days.
