Millet Porridge with Raisins and Cottage Cheese

Optionally, you can add 1 tbsp to millet porridge . l. sugar or serve with powdered sugar, jam, jam or honey.

  1. Sort out millet; rinse in several waters until the flowing water becomes clear. Transfer to a saucepan, add plenty of water, put on fire and bring to a boil. Cover and cook over low heat for 15 minutes. Remove from heat and drain.
  2. Pour milk into a separate saucepan and bring to a boil. Pour boiling milk over the millet. Add salt, sugar and butter. Cover loosely and cook over low heat for 30 minutes. Remove from heat.
  3. Rinse the raisins thoroughly. If the raisins are very dry, soak them in warm boiled water for 30–40 minutes. Drain the water.
  4. Add cottage cheese and raisins to the porridge, mix thoroughly. Wrap the pot in a blanket and leave in a warm place for 25-30 minutes.
