Onion Soup

Onion soup is easy to prepare, but at the same time, it is tasty, aromatic, hearty and warming.

Ingredients

• onion 500 g
• garlic (cloves) 2 pcs.
• meat broth 500 ml
• dry white wine 100 ml
• butter 30 g
• olive oil 20 g
• hard cheese 100 g
• sugar 0.5 tsp
• ground black pepper to taste
• salt to taste
• thyme a few leaves
• croutons 6 pcs.

Directions

1. In a thick-bottomed saucepan in olive oil, melt the butter, add thinly chopped onions, finely chopped garlic and fry for 6-8 minutes over high heat, stirring all the time, as soon as the onions are well fried, reduce the heat to a minimum, add sugar, thyme and simmer the onions for about 20 minutes ...
2. Then add wine and hot broth, salt and pepper. Let it boil, reduce heat and cook for 30 minutes under a closed lid (simmer).
3. Pour the soup into bouillonnits, put 1-2 croutons grated with garlic on top, sprinkle with grated cheese and put in an oven preheated to 200 ° C until the cheese is browned.
