I offer a recipe for an open snack pie with onions, eggs and cheese. This cake is easy to make and the taste is simply amazing! The pie turns out tender, with a light crispy puff pastry base and a fragrant, very juicy filling of lettuce onion stewed in butter, hard cheese and eggs.

Ingredients

Directions

  1. Required products.
  2. Preheat the oven to 180°C.
  3. Defrost the dough.
  4. We cut the white onion into half rings, if the onions are small - into rings.
  5. Hard cheese rubbed on a coarse grater
  6. Finely chop the green onion.
  7. Roll out the thawed puff pastry to a thickness of about 8 mm. My sheets of dough are narrow, so I overlapped them in the middle and rolled out the seam.
  8. Preparing the baking dish. Since my form is not silicone, I previously greased it with vegetable oil and lightly sprinkled the bottom with flour.
  9. We spread the dough in an even layer in a baking dish, forming sides 3-4 cm high. We often prick the dough with a fork.
  10. Heat the butter in a frying pan, add vegetable oil and spread the white onion. Simmer the onion over low heat under the lid for 7-10 minutes, until soft. The onion should be soft but not browned. Remove the cooked onion from the heat and leave to cool.
  11. Place the dough base in an oven preheated to 180 degrees and bake for 15-20 minutes.
  12. In a bowl, combine the white onion (along with the oil left in the pan), cheese, green onions and eggs. Add salt and pepper.
  13. We mix the filling.
  14. We take out the half-baked base from the oven and spread the filling on it in an even layer.
  15. We bake an open onion pie from puff pastry at 180 degrees for about 30-40 minutes, until golden brown. When pressed, the finished pie should have a dense filling.
  16. Transfer the finished cake to a plate and let it cool slightly.
  17. Cut an open puff pastry pie with onions, eggs and cheese into pieces and serve.
  18. Bon appetit!
