We knead the dough based on orange juice, which makes the cupcakes very fragrant.

Ingredients

Directions

  1. Prepare all the necessary ingredients.
  2. For orange dough, you can use not only carrot juice and turmeric, but also carrot or pumpkin puree. If you are using food coloring, you can use a few drops of orange.
  3. Combine sugar and egg in a deep bowl. Beat with a whisk in a light foam.
  4. Add vegetable oil, baking powder and flour to the egg mass. Combine all ingredients with a whisk.
  5. Slowly pour in the orange juice, whisking each time.
  6. The finished dough turned out to be quite liquid, it flows from the whisk in a thin stream, leaving traces on the surface.
  7. Peel the carrots and grate on a fine grater.
  8. Wrap the grated carrots in 1-2 layers of gauze and squeeze the juice into a small container. It turned out about 60 ml of juice.
  9. Add turmeric to carrot juice (for a brighter color).
  10. Divide the dough into three equal parts in three different bowls. Leave one third of the dough white, add 2 tbsp to the second. tablespoons of cocoa, pour carrot juice with turmeric into the third.
  11. Mix well all types of dough with additives. The dough with the addition of cocoa will be thicker than the rest, since cocoa acts as a thickener, like flour.
  12. Turn on the oven to heat up to 180 degrees.
  13. In silicone molds for cupcakes, put 1 tbsp. a spoonful of chocolate dough.
  14. Then spread the orange batter on top.
  15. Lay out the regular dough without fillers last.
  16. Bake cupcakes in a preheated oven at 180 degrees for 25-30 minutes. They should rise a little and become firm. From the indicated amount of products, I got 12 cupcakes.
  17. Remove cupcakes from silicone molds to a wooden cutting board or wire rack to cool.
  18. The muffins turned out to be delicious, moderately sweet, everyone will find something of their own in them - both chocolate lovers and connoisseurs of traditional pastries.
  19. The aroma is very pleasant! Hot pastries in the house are always a sign of warmth and comfort.
  20. The stripes of chocolate dough are very pronounced, and the orange dough is slightly pale, because we used natural dyes.
  21. Bon appetit!
