Pork ribs baked in a spicy sweet sauce with fruit puree, soy sauce and ketchup. It is said that the sauce prepared according to this recipe is very close in taste to the sauce prepared in one of the Canadian restaurants.

  1. To cook pork ribs in Canadian sauce, prepare all the products on the list.
  2. Rinse pork ribs, pat dry with paper towels.
  3. Fruit (apple) puree can be bought ready-made, but cooking it at home is very simple: cut a large apple lengthwise into four parts, remove the seeds and place the apple in the microwave for about 10 minutes; then separate the apple pulp from the peel.
  4. Mix all the sauce ingredients until smooth: ketchup, applesauce, lemon juice, soy sauce, sugar and spices.
  5. Cut pork ribs into small pieces.
  6. Place the ribs in the prepared marinade sauce.
  7. Toss the ribs with the sauce and let sit for a few minutes (or leave in a cold place for half an hour or more).
  8. Arrange the pork ribs in a convenient baking dish. Preheat oven to 200 degrees.
  9. Bake the ribs in the oven for 1-1.5 hours. From time to time grease them with the remaining sauce (2-3 times). If a lot of fat from the ribs stands out during baking, it is better to drain it.
  10. Ready-made baked pork ribs in Canadian-style sauce, serve as an independent dish. Ideal for cold beer.
