Both in appearance and in taste, the dish causes gastronomic delight among lovers of baked potatoes, and all this appetizing is prepared as simply as possible.

  1. Prepare the necessary ingredients. Take potatoes for this recipe not large, with starchy, easily boiled pulp. Since we will bake, and later eat the potatoes with the peel, the tubers must be thoroughly washed. This should be done under running water with a hard sponge or brush.
  2. Once all dirt has been removed from the skin, dry the potatoes with a kitchen towel.
  3. Now you need to cut each tuber in half lengthwise so that the halves are stable.
  4. With a sharp knife, make deep grid-like cuts on each half of the potato without cutting through the skin.
  5. Place the prepared potatoes, cut side up, on a baking sheet or in a baking dish of a suitable size.
  6. Salt and pepper the potato halves.
  7. Preheat oven to 180 degrees.
  8. Cut the lard (I have salty) into plates of about the size so that one plate covers half of the potato. The thickness of the slices of fat is about 0.5 cm.
  9. Cover each half of the potato with slices of lard.
  10. Pour 3 teaspoons of sunflower oil into a small container and pass a large garlic clove into it through a press. Stir and let stand for 10 minutes at room temperature.
  11. Rub garlic oil on each piece of lard.
  12. Put the potatoes in an oven preheated to 180 degrees, bake for 45 minutes.
  13. While the potatoes are baking with bacon, prepare the mushrooms: remove the skin from the mushroom caps, cut the mushrooms into slices.
  14. Remove the potatoes from the oven after 45 minutes. The fat was melted, glass under the potatoes (so that it did not burn from below).
  15. Spread the mushroom plates on each half of the baked potato with bacon, completely covering them.
  16. Return the mold with potatoes to the oven, bake for another 15-20 minutes at the same temperature.
  17. Put the baked potatoes with mushrooms on a dish.
  18. Garnish with fresh herbs before serving, if desired.
  19. Potato baked in the oven with lard and mushrooms is ready. Serve it right away, piping hot!
