A hot sandwich with fried sausage, cheese and potato chips is an incredibly appetizing, quick to prepare, nutritious and satisfying snack that will delight any gourmet with its taste and give strength and energy for a long time. Crispy bread, juicy filling, mouth-watering strings of melted cheese - a win-win combination, whatever one may say. Try it!

Ingredients

Directions

  1. Peel the sausage and cut into thin slices. To prevent the pieces of sausage from curling when frying, cut a small segment from each circle of sausage.
  2. In a frying pan, over medium heat, melt the butter. Arrange the sausage pieces in a single layer in the pan and fry for 2-3 minutes on each side, until golden brown.
  3. If the entire sausage does not fit in the pan, first fry half the sausage (3 slices), then transfer the fried sausage to a plate and fry the remaining pieces of sausage.
  4. Spread a thin layer of mayonnaise on a piece of white toast bread.
  5. Arrange slices of toast cheese on top of mayonnaise so that cheese covers the entire surface of a slice of bread.
  6. Spread the hot fried sausage over the cheese layer, stacking the slices on top of each other so that all the bread is covered with sausage.
  7. Lay a layer of potato chips over the sausage.
  8. Brush a second slice of toast with a thin layer of mustard.
  9. Cover the sausage, cheese and chips sandwich with the second piece of bread, mustard side down.
  10. Put the resulting sandwich in the pan in which the sausage was fried, and fry for 2-3 minutes on each side, so that the bread is browned, the filling warms up, and the cheese melts.
  11. Put the finished hot sandwich with sausage, cheese and chips for a few seconds on a paper napkin or towel to absorb excess oil.
  12. Cut the hot sausage and chips sandwich in half and serve. If desired, you can supplement the sandwich with lettuce and garnish with parsley leaves.
  13. Bon appetit!
