Shortbread onion pie

Onion pie is most often made from yeast or shortcrust pastry. We offer you a recipe for an open onion shortbread pie.

  1. In 200 grams of flour, add half a teaspoon of salt. We mix. Grate 100 grams of butter or margarine into flour. Grind flour with Butter.
  2. Add one large egg to the flour with butter and knead the shortbread dough.
  3. Wrap the dough in cling film and place in the refrigerator for 30 minutes.
  4. After 30 minutes, roll out the dough into a layer about 4 millimeters thick.
  5. Grease a detachable mold with a diameter of 26 centimeters with oil. Carefully transfer the dough into the form, lift the edges and form a side three centimeters high. Prick the dough with a fork.
  6. We send it to the oven preheated to 200 degrees for 10-15 minutes. The dough should brown slightly.
  7. We rub on a fine grater 150 grams of cheese. We set aside.
  8. 150 grams of green onions, clean and finely chop.
  9. Break 4 eggs into a bowl, add half a teaspoon of salt, mix. Mix 200 grams of sour cream with eggs.
  10. Add a pinch of ground black pepper and rub a pinch of nutmeg, mix.
  11. Pour the prepared green onions with the mixture, mix and set aside.
  12. Peel, wash and chop 150 grams of onion into thin half rings.
  13. Remove the pre-baked dough from the oven. We spread the prepared onions on it.
  14. Then green onion stuffing.
  15. Sprinkle everything with grated cheese.
  16. Return to oven and bake for about 15 more minutes. We take out the finished cake from the oven, let it cool a little, put it on a wooden board and serve it to the table.
  17. Serve onion pie as a hot appetizer.
