In this recipe, I'll show you how to make an inexpensive, tasty and easy-to-make herring appetizer.

  1. First of all, put 3 eggs to boil. To do this, dip them in cold water and put on fire. After the water boils, wait 8 minutes. Then we cool the eggs.
  2. While the eggs are boiling, cut the bread into small pieces - we will spread the snack on them. It is best to use black rye. Fry each piece of bread in a skillet without oil over medium heat for 1 minute on each side.
  3. We cut the cucumber, a small head of the Crimean onion and eggs into small cubes, which we set to boil before. I also like to add some finely chopped dill to this appetizer for flavor. We shift all the ingredients into a deep bowl. Add mayonnaise, a little salt and mustard. We mix everything together.
  4. Put a teaspoon of the filling on the toasted black bread and distribute it.
  5. Cut the herring fillet into 1 cm wide slices and lay 2 slices on top for each serving of appetizer. To make the appetizer look more colorful and interesting, I prefer to decorate it with a little green onion.
