Soft, ruddy rolls made from homemade yeast dough with a fragrant uncooked bacon filling are the perfect dish for a weekend brunch, a family feast or a hearty snack. Such an appetizing hot appetizer will not leave anyone indifferent. Try it!

Ingredients

Directions

  1. Prepare the ingredients.
  2. Remove the butter from the refrigerator 30-40 minutes before cooking to allow it to warm to room temperature and soften.
  3. Sift 300 g of wheat flour into a bowl.
  4. Set aside the remaining flour for a while and use as needed to work with the dough.
  5. Add salt, sugar and yeast to bowl. Mix well.
  6. Add warm water (30-35 degrees) and butter.
  7. Mix the ingredients and form the dough into a ball. Adding flour as needed, knead the dough for 4-5 minutes until it becomes elastic, smooth and no longer sticky.
  8. Cover the bowl with a towel and leave the dough at room temperature for 20 minutes.
  9. After 20 minutes, punch down the dough and leave for another 20-30 minutes under a towel.
  10. Sprinkle the work surface with flour, punch down the dough again and divide it into three equal parts. Roll out each piece of dough into a rectangle large enough to fit 4 strips of bacon lengthwise and wide.
  11. In this case, it turned out 20x30 cm.
  12. Cut the dough into 4 strips the same width as the bacon strips.
  13. Lubricate each strip of dough with a thin layer of mayonnaise and ketchup.
  14. Lay a strip of uncooked bacon on each strip of dough. Roll the strips into a roll.
  15. Repeat the process with the remaining bacon and dough, forming 8 more rolls in the same way.
  16. Set the resulting blanks vertically in cupcake molds so that the rolls retain their shape better during baking.
  17. I used soft non-stick paper molds, which I put in silicone for stability, but you can limit yourself to silicone molds.
  18. If there are no portion forms, you can place the blanks in 1 large form lined with baking paper, at a short distance from each other.
  19. Grate cheese on a fine grater. Sprinkle each roll with 1-2 pinches of cheese.
  20. Place the blanks in an oven preheated to 200 degrees and bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown.
  21. Snack rolls with bacon are ready. Bon appetit!
