Squid rings in beer batter, deep-fried in a pan, are crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. Squids marinated in lemon juice are very tasty, and a spicy mayonnaise sauce with garlic and herbs perfectly complements this appetizer.

Ingredients

Directions

  1. Pour hot water over the squids and peel them. Remove the entrails and chitinous plate. Be sure to remove the thin film from the outside and inside. It is because of her that squid shrink.
  2. Cut the squid into rings about one centimeter wide. Put the rings in a bowl.
  3. Squeeze lemon juice (0.5 teaspoon) to the squid.
  4. Salt and pepper.
  5. Peel the garlic, chop and add to the bowl with the squid. Stir and put the squid in the refrigerator for 30 minutes.
  6. For batter, sift flour into a deep bowl, salt, pepper and pour in vegetable oil.
  7. Pour in the beer and mix until smooth.
  8. Add paprika to the batter and stir.
  9. Roll the squid rings first in flour, and then put in batter. Coat the squid rings completely with batter.
  10. Pour vegetable oil into a frying pan and heat over medium heat. Drop the battered rings into the oil and fry until golden brown on both sides, about 2 to 4 minutes per side.
  11. Transfer the cooked squid rings to a paper towel to remove excess oil.
  12. For sauce, place mayonnaise in a bowl. Peel the garlic, grate it on a fine grater or squeeze through a press and add to the mayonnaise.
  13. Squeeze lemon juice there (1 tablespoon).
  14. Finely chop greens, such as parsley, and add to a bowl with mayonnaise, garlic and lemon juice. Mix everything well - the sauce is ready.
  15. Squid rings in beer batter, fried in a pan, are ready.
  16. Serve immediately with sauce.
  17. Bon appetit!
