Mushrooms stewed in sour cream with onions and garlic are an excellent appetizer or side dish. In this version, champignons are very tasty, juicy, in a thick and delicate sour cream sauce. Be sure to try this recipe for champignons in sour cream!

  1. We will fry the champignons, so I strongly do not recommend washing them before that. It is enough to remove the skin from the caps of the mushrooms, and clean off the dirt from the legs.
  2. Chop the mushrooms fairly large. I had small mushrooms, I cut them in half.
  3. Peel the onion and cut into cubes.
  4. Heat sunflower oil in a frying pan. Put the onions and mushrooms into the pan.
  5. Sauté onion and mushrooms over high heat for about 5 minutes.
  6. Sprinkle mushrooms with flour, salt and black pepper.
  7. Fry for another minute and add sour cream. Stir, bring the sauce to a boil and lower the heat. Stew mushrooms in sour cream sauce for about 5 minutes under the lid.
  8. Peel the clove of garlic, chop.
  9. Add garlic to mushrooms.
  10. Stir and remove the pan from the stove.
  11. Mushrooms stewed in sour cream are ready.
