String beans fried in beer batter

An excellent snack - the bean pods are deep-fried and turn out ruddy and crispy. They are complemented by a simple, good sauce of mayonnaise, sour cream and spices.

  1. Mix 1 ½ cups flour, salt and pepper. Add beer and stir until smooth.
  2. Heat the oil in a cauldron (about 10 cm). Pour 1 cup of flour onto a flat plate. Roll the bean pods in flour, and then dip in beer batter. Fry in batches in hot oil for 3-4 minutes. Place cooked beans on paper towels to absorb excess oil. Serve with prepared sauce. Bon appetit!
