Potatoes stuffed with cheese and baked in the oven are an appetizing hot appetizer or side dish for meat and fish dishes.

Ingredients

Directions

  1. Wash the potatoes well and boil over low heat until soft. Drain the water and dry the potatoes with paper towels.
  2. Cut boiled potatoes in half lengthwise. Scoop out some of the pulp with a teaspoon.
  3. Mash feta cheese with a fork with 2 tbsp. spoons of grated hard cheese (set aside 1 tablespoon of grated cheese).
  4. Mix cheese with finely chopped green onions, thyme leaves and garlic, passed through a press. Spice up. Salt can be omitted, as the cheese is quite salty, be guided by your taste.
  5. Add potato pulp to the cheese mass.
  6. It's good to knead everything together.
  7. Fill the potato halves with the cheese mass and put the stuffed potatoes in a baking dish.
  8. Put the potatoes with cheese in a preheated oven under the grill and bake at a temperature of 200 degrees for 15 minutes. Sprinkle the stuffed potatoes with the remaining grated cheese 2 minutes before the end of baking.
  9. Serve the baked potatoes with cheese immediately, hot.
  10. Bon appetit!
