Warm tofu appetizer with spinach

A light and low-calorie warm tofu snack with spinach is a real find for people who care not only about their figure, but also about their health.

  1. My spinach under running water. We cut off the roots or simply tear them off with our hands. Do not dry, but immediately put the spinach in a saucepan. Put on moderate heat and cook for 5 minutes. Constantly stir so as not to burn.
  2. Take the spinach off the stove and chop it with a knife.
  3. Put the chopped spinach back into the saucepan, add the peeled and chopped onion in half rings.
  4. Salt to taste and season with nutmeg. We put the saucepan on the fire and cook for another 4 minutes. After that, remove from the stove and let the filling cool down.
  5. Remove the zest from the lemon with a grater and add it to the milk. Pour the breadcrumbs into a more convenient dish.
  6. Cut the tofu into eight equal pieces.
  7. Spread the spinach filling on half of the tofu, cover with the other half, pressing lightly.
  8. Dip each tofu sandwich first in milk and zest, and then in breadcrumbs.
  9. In a frying pan with the addition of oil, fry the appetizer on both sides for 2 minutes
  10. Spinach tofu appetizer is ready. Serve warm. Bon appetit!
