The dough for these onion crackers is kneaded with whole wheat flour, yogurt, olive oil and water. Thanks to the many spices and additives, these whole grain crackers are savory and flavorful. This simple recipe will definitely be able to attract the attention of lovers of spicy crunchy goodies.

  1. Sift flour into a deep bowl.
  2. Peel red onion.
  3. Finely chop the cilantro, onion and hot pepper and add to the flour.
  4. Pour Italian herbs, dried onion, fenugreek, cumin, salt, black pepper, soda and sesame seeds into a bowl.
  5. Then add olive oil and yogurt. Mix everything well.
  6. Add some water, mix everything again.
  7. Gather the resulting dough into a bun.
  8. Moisten a clean towel with plenty of cold water.
  9. Transfer the dough onto a towel.
  10. Wrap the dough with a wet towel and leave for 30 minutes.
  11. Turn on the oven to preheat to 170 degrees.
  12. Roll out the dough thinly, and then cut into squares or rectangles - according to the size and shape of the desired crackers.
  13. Bake crackers in a preheated oven at 170 degrees for 10-12 minutes first.
  14. Then remove the crackers from the oven, turn over, return to the oven and bake for another 10-12 minutes.
  15. Spicy onion crackers in yogurt and olive oil will successfully complement wine or beer, you can just crunch them in front of the TV. I prefer them with spicy tomato sauce.
