Zucchini cutlets with cheese baked in the oven

Unusual appetizer of zucchini - zucchini balls with cheese, baked in the oven.

Ingredients

  1. Wash the young zucchini, trim the edges. Grate the zucchini on a fine grater.
  2. Squeeze the grated zucchini from the juice.
  3. Cheese also grate on a fine grater directly into a bowl with zucchini.
  4. Add the egg, cornstarch, salt, ground black pepper, ground paprika, a mixture of dried Italian herbs and dried garlic to this.
  5. Mix thoroughly.
  6. Now add breadcrumbs. It is better to add crackers in parts, since their amount will directly depend on the juiciness of the zucchini.
  7. Stir in breadcrumbs. The mass should be so thick that balls can be formed from it.
  8. Turn on the oven to preheat to 180 degrees.
  9. Rinse green onions, dry and cut into thin rings. Add the onion to the squash.
  10. Stir again.
  11. With sunflower oiled hands, form minced meat into round cutlets and place them on a baking sheet covered with baking parchment or a silicone mat, or in a baking dish.
  12. Bake zucchini cutlets with cheese in a preheated oven for about 30-35 minutes, until golden brown.
  13. Transfer the finished meatballs to a plate.
  14. Serve zucchini cutlets with brynza to the table warm with some kind of sauce.
