tangerine peel (any citrus) 1 kg

Cut the citrus peels into long strips. If the crusts are not quite the correct shape, then you can cut them into squares or give them any other shape.
Pour the prepared crusts with hot water and boil after boiling for 10 minutes. Then put them on a sieve, drain all the water again, pour water and put on fire. To get rid of more of the bitterness of the crust, you need to boil in this way 2 to 4 times.
Now let's make a syrup from water, sugar and citric acid. After boiling the syrup for 5 minutes, pour our future candied fruits into it, cook them over low heat for about 40 minutes.
After the end of cooking, fold the mass onto a sieve and let the syrup drain completely.
Ready candied fruits can be dried in the oven, in the room, or left soft.
