The company “IGOR s.r.l. Italy” is recalling the products “SAN FABIO GORGONZOLA DOP DOLCE 200 g” and “SAN FABIO GORGONZOLA DOP PICCANTE 200 g” sold by Penny for reasons of preventive consumer protection. The reason for this is the detection of Listeria in these two types of cheese.

  • 23685390 (Dolce) and
  • 22138569 (Picante).

The company “IGOR s.r.l. Italy” advises against the consumption of the goods due to possible health risks and has removed the items from the market as a precaution. Customers who bring the relevant products back to the respective Penny stores will receive a full refund of the purchase price.

Listeria is a widespread type of bacteria that, with its flu-like symptoms, can be dangerous mainly for pregnant women, newborns, the sick, and people with a weakened immune system.

For reasons of preventive consumer protection, the vegan supermarket Veganz is recalling its product “hemp protein powder”. During controls, an increased cannabinoid content was found, which is why the items in this batch are not suitable for feeding small children.

Product recall

The article “Hemp protein powder” 200 grams with the following markings is affected by the product recall:

  • Batch: 6012 and
  • Best before date: 02.2017

Customers are asked to return goods that have already been purchased in retail stores. According to the press release from “Veganz”, the purchase price will also be reimbursed without presenting the receipt.

Increased cannabinoid content

Elevated levels of cannabinoids were found in the recalled products. The consumption of the affected hemp protein powder is therefore not suitable for small children aged two to three years and a body weight of 15 kilograms.

For reasons of preventive consumer protection, the manufacturer “CLAMA GmbH & Co. KG” is recalling its “Caper capucines” sold by Aldi-Nord. The reason for this is splinters of glass in a product.

Product recall

The “Capers capucines” sold by Aldi-Nord in 100-gram jars and with the following labels are affected by the product recall:

  • Best before date: 08/20/2018
  • Batch number: F/240-1

Customers who have already purchased this product are asked not to consume it under any circumstances and to bring it back to the store. As the press release goes on to say, the purchase price will be refunded.

Shards of glass found

Glass splinters were found in an article in the “Kapern capucines”. The corresponding products have already been withdrawn from sale.

For reasons of preventive consumer protection, the company “Steinemann GmbH & Co. KG” is recalling its “delicacy chive liver sausage top quality”. The reason for this is the discovery of listeria in a batch.

Product recall

Affected by the product recall is the “Delikatess Chive Liver Sausage” from the Steinemann brand (250 grams) and the following labels:

  • Lot with the best before date 09/18/2016 and the lot number 033016115

The product was offered regionally at Netto-Marken-Discount in parts of Brandenburg, Saxony, Saxony-Anhalt, and Thuringia. Consumption of the product is not recommended.

Customers who have bought the product in question can return it to their shops for a refund of the purchase price, even without presenting the receipt. Other best-before dates or other Steinemann products are not affected.

Microbiological contamination of some packs

During a sample, Listeria monocytogenes was found in the delicacy chive liver sausage. Flu-like symptoms and intestinal infections can occur after consumption of products contaminated with Listeria.

Population groups such as pregnant women, the elderly, children, and people with a weakened immune system should be particularly careful and consult a doctor if they have any symptoms.
