Bean soup with smoked ribs

Bean soups are especially good if the broth is cooked with smoked meats. Smoked ribs, pork or beef, give the beans a very beneficial flavor. Even green beans, which, admittedly, not everyone loves.

  1. Soak the beans in cold water for 3 hours. Put ribs in a saucepan with water, put on fire and bring to a boil. Skim off the foam and cook for 30 minutes. Add red and white beans, cook over medium heat for an hour and a half.
  2. Peel and dice the potatoes, carrots and onions. Wash green beans, if they are canned, cut off the ends, cut into small pieces, frozen already chopped. Peel and chop the garlic.
  3. Heat vegetable oil in a frying pan, fry onions, carrots and garlic, add to the soup along with potatoes, add chopped herbs and green beans, cook for 10-15 minutes.
  4. Remove from heat. Let it brew under the lid for 20 minutes.
