  1. Chop the onions finely and put them in a saucepan. Add a stick of butter and simmer on low heat for five minutes.
  2. Chop parsley and mint put in a saucepan together with green peas. Add a teaspoon of sugar and a pinch of salt. Pour cold water until it barely covers the contents of the pan. Bring to a boil and cook for 15 minutes.
  3. Pour the broth into a separate pot. Grind peas with a blender to a purée.
  4. Add cream and half of the broth, and mix thoroughly. Bring to a boil and cook for a maximum of five minutes. If necessary, use the entire broth.
  5. Fry the bacon slices until golden.
  6. Pour the soup into bowls, and serve with bacon or a sprig of mint.
