Potted Lentil Bacon Soup

You can use brown or green lentils and smoked bacon to make the soup.

Ingredients

  1. Rinse the lentils, transfer to boiling water and cook for five minutes.
  2. Drain the liquid.
  3. Heat oil in a frying pan, fry the diced bacon.
  4. Add chopped onion, fry all together for two minutes.
  5. Add chopped carrots.
  6. The next ingredient is pickled skinless tomatoes.
  7. Put out the mixture for a few minutes, the liquid should evaporate, and the mass should thicken.
  8. Add lentils, simmer for another five minutes.
  9. Transfer the mixture to half the pots.
  10. Salt and pepper the broth or boiled water, add garlic, your favorite spices, mix, pour the contents of the pots up to the shoulders.
  11. Place in the oven for 35 minutes.
  12. Cut the bread into cubes, drizzle with olive oil, place on a baking sheet and dry in the oven.
  13. Serve the soup with fresh croutons.
