Shurpa in our area is often cooked on the stove in a saucepan. In this recipe, shurpa is cooked in clay pots in the oven. And you know what? So much tastier! Cook and see for yourself!

  1. Boil the prepared lamb in two liters of water. Skim the boiling stock and add the coarsely chopped carrots and whole onion. Cook for 40 minutes.
  2. Extract the meat from the finished broth and cut into pieces. We put it in pots, put chopped and peeled vegetables here, pour broth on top. This includes bay leaves, salt, pepper and butter. We put the pots in a preheated oven for 30 minutes. Sprinkle the finished shurpa with herbs. Bon Appetit!
