Soft honey buns make a great weekend brunch. Unfortunately, they quickly stale, so you need to eat them right away, warm.

Ingredients

Directions

  1. Combine curd, yogurt, sugar, and vanilla extract. Add flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt and knead until soft. This can be done in a food processor. Transfer to a lightly floured work surface and knead 4-5 times.
  2. Chop walnuts finely and mix with sugar and cinnamon.
  3. Preheat oven to 200 ° C. Roll out the dough into a 30x40 cm rectangle. Melt the butter and brush the surface of the dough with a brush, not reaching 1 cm. Sprinkle with the nut mixture and roll into a roll starting from the long side of the rectangle.
  4. Pinch the seam and cut the roll into 12 pieces. Place the buns, cut side down, in a greased round dish, 24-26 cm in diameter. Bake for 20-25 minutes, until golden brown. Cool the finished buns, 5 minutes, then transfer to a dish.
  5. Melt the honey and sugar in a saucepan, add the vanilla extract and pour over the buns. Serve warm.
