The original snack is apple chips cooked in the microwave. These sweet crunchy apple chips are fat-free and are a great unpretentious treat or addition to cereals. Delicious and easy!

Ingredients

Directions

  1. Wash the apples and cut into thin slices (ideally about 1 mm). Remove seeds.
  2. Place the apple slices on paper towels and pat dry thoroughly.
  3. Cover a microwave plate (glass or ceramic, without gilding or metal elements) with baking paper or paper napkins. Lay the sliced and dried apples in an even layer. Strongly overlapping do not lay out, the layer of apples should be uniform.
  4. Sprinkle apple slices on top to taste with cinnamon and vanilla sugar. I sprinkled one half with cinnamon, the other with vanilla sugar, but you can use one.
  5. Place the apples in the microwave and dry at 800W for about 5 minutes. After the time has elapsed, remove the apples from the microwave and, if they are still soft enough, turn over to the other side and dry at the same power for another 1-2 minutes or longer. The main thing is to watch the apples so that they do not start to burn.
  6. It took me 8 minutes, but keep in mind that microwaves are very different and you may need more or less time.
  7. Remove the chips from the microwave and let them cool completely. When hot, the chips will be quite flexible, but when cooled, they will dry out additionally.
  8. Apple chips in the microwave are ready.
  9. Bon appetit!
