I share with you my favorite canape recipe - with tomato oil and pieces of salted herring on crispy toasted bread. These herring canapés not only look beautiful due to the bright color of the creamy spread - they have an original taste that you do not expect from familiar products. Recommend!

Ingredients

Directions

  1. cut the bread into thin slices (I got 10 pcs.). For convenience, it is better to take an already sliced \u200b\u200bloaf. From the pieces, cut out blanks for future canapes with a round cookie cutter, cutting off unnecessary crusts (they can be used to make homemade breadcrumbs, dried and chopped).
  2. Heat a small amount of sunflower oil in a frying pan and fry the loaf slices on it on both sides until golden brown. Transfer the fried banana slices to a plate and let them cool.
  3. To prepare tomato oil, combine soft butter with tomato paste and black pepper. (We do not add salt.)
  4. Stir the oil with the tomato paste until a homogeneous paste-like mass is obtained.
  5. Grease the fried pieces of loaf on one side with tomato oil.
  6. Cut each piece into two halves to make 20 canapés.
  7. Salted herring fillet without skin and bones, cut into thin slices.
  8. Arrange the pieces of herring on toast with tomato oil.
  9. Arrange the finished herring canapés on a serving platter.
  10. Canape with herring and tomato oil are ready! Keep the canapés in the refrigerator before serving, but it's best to serve them immediately after cooking, while the croutons are crispy.
  11. Bon appetit!
