Egg-nog (egg-nog, in translation - egg cocktail) is a traditional Christmas (New Year's) drink made from eggs and milk.

Ingredients

Directions

  1. 1. Separate the yolks from the proteins (we will not need proteins).
  2. 2. Mix the yolks with sugar, and rub well.
  3. 3. Heat milk with spices over low heat. After boiling, pour the egg mixture into a thin stream, stirring constantly. Put the whole mixture back on the fire and cook until it becomes thicker. Take out the vanilla pod and clove buds.
  4. 4. Add cream, and heat up. At the very end of preparation, pour in 100 ml of cognac or rum, which will make the drink more fragrant and cheerful. But this step can be skipped.
  5. 5. Pour the cocktail into glasses, garnish with a cream cap, sprinkle with cinnamon, and serve.
