For richness of taste, add a spoonful of cocoa powder and healthy cherries.

  1. 1. In a small saucepan bring milk to a boil. Add cocoa powder to a bowl of instant oatmeal and pour over everything with hot milk. Stir, cover, and leave to brew.
  2. 2. Any convenient way to brew a cup of strong coffee. Strain off coffee grounds if necessary. I made a cup of espresso with the coffee machine. Let the coffee cool down a bit.
  3. 3. In a blender, mix the brewed cereal, coffee, a handful of cherries, and a spoonful of honey. Beat everything until smooth at high speed.
  4. 4. Pour the cocktail into a glass, sprinkle with almond petals, and, if desired, cinnamon.
