For a hearty snack during a match or a field trip, salty puff pastry spiral sticks stuffed with hot pepper seasoned cheese and bacon are perfect. You will be especially captivated by the crispy crust with the aroma of caramel and rosemary. Due to the fact that we will use the dough purchased, the preparation of crisps will not take much time.

Ingredients

Directions

  1. Prepare the ingredients for the recipe.
  2. Defrost puff pastry and bacon.
  3. Bacon can be used raw or smoked - it will be delicious in both cases.
  4. Preheat oven to 180 degrees.
  5. Put the puff pastry on a table sprinkled with flour.
  6. Roll out the dough into a layer about 3 mm thick and as long as 2 strips of bacon (and the width should be about half that).
  7. Visually divide the resulting rectangular layer of dough across into halves. On one half, grate the cheese on a fine grater. Sprinkle pepper (hot red and black) on top, distributing it evenly over the cheese.
  8. Cover the cheese with the second half and lightly pinch the edges of the dough (you will get a square cake).
  9. At the same distance from each other (almost close to each other), put strips of bacon on the dough - this way the entire surface of the dough should be covered with bacon. If the bacon is raw, salt and pepper it.
  10. Use a pizza cutter to cut the dough along the borders between the strips of bacon (you will get 5 pieces, each of which will be under the strip of bacon).
  11. Roll the strip of dough with cheese and bacon into a spiral, twisting it around its own axis 2-3 times.
  12. In a bowl, combine brown sugar and dry rosemary. Mix.
  13. Line a baking sheet or baking dish with parchment and place the puff pastry sticks there. Sprinkle them with rosemary sugar.
  14. Bake puff pastry sticks with cheese and bacon at 180 degrees for 30 minutes.
  15. Puff sticks with bacon, cheese and spices are ready. Carefully remove them from the pan and cool before using.
  16. Bon appetit!
