Making delicious latte coffee at home will not be difficult if you know and follow some rules. And the most important of them is to remember that the basis of the drink is milk! There are no clear proportions for preparation, but the amount of this main ingredient should be at least twice the volume of coffee. And sometimes this figure rises to tenfold! Interestingly, lattes were originally prepared by simply combining coffee and milk in their usual form, and only then they began to froth the latter, as in the case of cappuccino. True, for such a drink, the foam should be much more fluffy and thick. As for latte coffee, only slightly foamed milk will be enough, so at home you can even whisk it with a whisk.

Ingredients

Directions

  1. Prepare your latte coffee. Ideally, this should be an espresso, however, you can use just strong coffee, for example, oriental or brewed in a geyser coffee maker. Fry the grains in a dry frying pan until the aroma appears.
  2. Pour the cooled coffee beans into the grinder and grind them literally "into dust". Open the appliance periodically and check the fineness of the grind to ensure that it is in perfect condition.
  3. Prepare coffee in a coffee machine, geyser coffee maker, or a regular Turk. In the latter case, pour cold water over the coffee, add sugar and bring to a boil over low heat.
  4. While the coffee is brewing in one way or another, prepare the milk. Preheat it to 60 ° C and pour into a small container. Foam in any way, such as a hand blender.
  5. Preheat a large cup or clear, heat-resistant glass for hot drinks. To do this, pour boiling water over the container and then pat dry with a clean towel.
  6. Pour freshly made frothed milk into a cup or glass, followed by hot coffee. Try and sweeten to taste if necessary. Serve immediately.
