Cakes are not only sweet, but also salty. This snack cake is made from crab sticks. The appetizer turns out to be festively elegant. First, a filling of cheese and eggs is prepared, seasoned with mayonnaise. Then crab sticks are layered with this cheese filling.

Ingredients

Directions

  1. Prepare all ingredients. Use crab sticks of good quality, preferably from a trusted manufacturer. Choose a hard cheese based on your preferences. Adjust the amount of garlic and mayonnaise to your liking.
  2. Wash the eggs thoroughly under running water using a kitchen sponge before use. Dip in cold salted water. Boil for 10 minutes from the moment of boiling (hard boiled). Cool down in cold water.
  3. Peel the boiled eggs, separate the whites from the yolks. Grate the egg whites on a coarse or medium grater, chop the yolks on a fine grater.
  4. Grate hard cheese on a fine grater. Pour the cheese into a deep bowl.
  5. Add the grated yolks to the cheese.
  6. Peel the garlic. Pass through a press or grind on a fine grater. Add to the rest of the ingredients. Salt and pepper to taste. Season with mayonnaise.
  7. Mix all ingredients. The cheese mass should not be very dense.
  8. Unroll the crab sticks into an even layer. If they are difficult to unwind, soak the sticks in warm water for a few minutes. High-quality sticks are very easy to unwind into a layer.
  9. Put the unfolded crab stick on a flat plate.
  10. Add some cooked cheese mass. Spread with a spoon in a thin layer over the entire layer.
  11. Lay the second layer of crab stick on top. Spread the filling in a thin layer.
  12. Form a cake by alternating layers of crab sticks with cheese filling.
  13. Top and all sides with cheese filling.
  14. Sprinkle the cake on all sides with protein chips. If the protein mass does not stick, a little mayonnaise can be applied to the cheese layer.
  15. Crab stick snack cake is ready.
  16. Bon appetit!
